Greetings from the Chief Director
Regarding utilization of the renewable energy in Japan, biomass power generation systems have recorded as the second largest applications among the FIT applications following solar power systems. Biomass power consists of direct burning system, thermal decomposition, bio chemical gas system, liquid burning system etc. However in contrast to the solar system, biomass power requires feed stock supply and needs cheap and stable biomass supply.
Our association strives for providing information regarding the planning of biomass power and securing the feed stock to the parties interested in biomass power generation and to assist the realization of biomass power, thus contributing to the renewable energy policy in Japan.

Message
In order to achieve energy security and more domestic employment, as well as to prevent global warming and building the recycling society, the Japanese Government has decided “ fundamental policy of economic and fiscal policy of 2002” .
Biomass energy in Japan, will surpass that of hydro power generation of 2005 soon.
I expect the biomass power association will contribute to the environment and regional economy greatly.
